Bayshore Race Rules
1) It is up to the discretion of the Club, if for safety reasons the Race is converted to virtual, delayed, modified, postponed or cancelled. The Club does not provide for refunds for any reason including the event of cancellation, and by signing the waiver, participants are not entitled to a refund if the event is cancelled before or during the event.
2) Deferments are not allowed; however, registrants may transfer (for a fee) an entry to another runner before a deadline specified each year.
3) Transferring race numbers
If you become injured or are no longer able to join us for Bayshore events you may transfer your entry to another person for a fee through the registration platform. Instructions can be found on the FAQ page.
IMPORTANT: This is the ONLY authorized way to transfer your entry to another person.
Running under another person’s name is strictly prohibited and will result in disqualification and jeopardize your participation in Club events. Entry fees are non-refundable. If you choose to transfer your entry to another person, you are responsible for arranging payment for the entry with the person you are transferring it to.
4) If the Race is cancelled due to any of the following causes, to the extent beyond its reasonable control: acts of God, accident, riots, war, terrorist act, epidemic, pandemic, quarantine, civil commotion, natural catastrophes, governmental acts or omissions, changes in laws or regulations, national strikes, fire, explosion, generalized lack of availability of raw materials or energy, refunds will not be issued.
5) Participants finishing the course after published closing times will not appear in the official results. After the course is closed, medical personal and volunteers will be dismissed and may not be available for assistance.
6) In the case of a Race with a narrow course due to opposing runner traffic and turns at corners/curves, participants must stay to the right of cones or course markers and remain no more than two abreast. The course is a USATF Certified course which is set up using the USATF certified map.
7) Official awards and prize money results will be determined once results have been deemed official.
8) Runners must be registered and use the bib assigned to them. Any runner who finishes the Race with a bib not assigned to them will be disqualified and will not be allowed to register for any future Club Races. The person who furnished the bib will also be banned from registering from any future Club Races.
9) Bicycles, skateboards, baby joggers/strollers, roller skates or inline skates, and animals are not allowed in the running Race.
10) Minimum age to participate in the Full Marathon is 18 on race day.
11) By signing the event Waiver and Release, participants agree to abide by Race Rules.
