The Traverse City Track Club Bayshore was started in 1983 by a group of volunteers who wanted to share with fellow runners the beauty of the Grand Traverse region. Since then, Bayshore has evolved into a respected and beloved event that has played an integral role in helping build a healthy, active running community through charitable giving. Bayshore is the primary revenue generator that funds all events, activities and programs of the Traverse City Track Club, which has now donated over $2.5 million to date.
Each year, the Traverse City Track Club partners with select 501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations, allowing them to use the event as a fundraising opportunity. In 2025, charity partners will receive a limited number of reserved entries for the sold-out Full Marathon, Half Marathon, and 10K. These entries guarantee race participation once the individual meets the organization's fundraising goal, which ranges from $300 to $450*. After reaching the minimum amount, participants will be given a special link to register at the lowest tier-1 price for each event.

Platinum Bicycle-Friendly, the Traverse area will be known for its natural surroundings, active, healthy outdoor lifestyles, and vibrant town centers where everyone has sustainable transportation options. We will be a world-renowned outdoor recreation and four-season destination.

Breakthrough T1D is a proud charity partner of the 2025 Bayshore Marathon. Breakthrough T1D Run provides entry into some of the country's most exciting challenge events, including the Bayshore Marathon. Camp Quality is a place where hope, resilience, and joy come alive for children facing cancer and their families. Our mission is to serve children with cancer and their families by providing year-round programs and experiences at no cost. Camp Quality promotes hope and inspiration while helping children foster life skills and develop their full potential.
We are dedicated to empowering kids affected by cancer to reclaim their childhood and be kids again. Our programs uplift spirits, foster friendships, and create memories that remind these incredible kids they are not alone.
